Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell was scheduled to speak Wednesday to the Peterson Institute for International Economics. The focus of the speech is on the economy and the damage done during the coronavirus crisis.
Following prepared remarks, Powell will take part in a question and answer session. Market participants are also looking for the central bank chief to address questions over negative interest rates and whether the Fed might deploy them as economic stimulus.
